- Toast or heat the waffles until golden and crisp.

- Top with the second waffle to form a sandwich.
- For a grilled version, cook in a skillet or panini press for 2–3 minutes per side until cheese melts.
- Slice in half and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, toast waffles before assembling so they don’t get soggy. Thicker Belgian waffles hold fillings best. To meal prep, wrap sandwiches tightly in foil and freeze—then reheat in the oven for 10–12 minutes.
