Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen potstickers
  • 8 oz lo mein or spaghetti noodles
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp chili crisp or sriracha optional
  • sliced green onions for garnish
  • sesame seeds for garnish

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • large pot
  • colander

Method

  1. Cook the potstickers according to the package directions. Pan-frying works best for texture.
  2. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the noodles.
  4. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté garlic and ginger in 1 teaspoon oil for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add potstickers to the skillet.
  6. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  7. Add cooked noodles and toss everything together.
  8. Add a few tablespoons of the reserved noodle water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  9. Heat through for 1 to 2 minutes.
  10. Serve topped with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and chili crisp if desired.

Notes

Pan-frying the potstickers creates the best texture and flavor. Lo mein noodles work best, but spaghetti is an easy substitute. Leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat nicely in a skillet with a splash of water.
