Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a bowl, drizzle the chicken breasts with olive oil. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Make sure each breast is evenly coated.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts. Always check with a meat thermometer!
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the hot honey glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it from the oven.
- Brush the hot honey glaze generously over the chicken breasts, coating them evenly.
- Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the glazed chicken.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 2-3 minutes, or until the feta is slightly softened and warmed through.
- Remove the Hot Honey Feta Chicken from the oven.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Don't overcook the chicken; use a meat thermometer. Adjust the spice level to your preference. Use quality feta stored in brine for the best flavor. Broil for extra caramelization, watching carefully. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Variations include adding veggies, cream cheese to the glaze, or different cheeses like goat cheese or Parmesan.
