Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp green onions, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed Ritz crackers (optional topping)

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • spoon or spatula
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper optional
  • pastry brush for butter topping

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix chicken, cream cheese, cheddar, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Separate crescent dough into individual triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling on the wide end of each triangle. Roll up tightly toward the point.
  5. Place rolls on baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs if using.
  6. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Don’t overfill the rolls to prevent leaking. Seal the edges well, use softened cream cheese for a smooth filling, and brush with butter for that golden finish. Freezer-friendly and customizable with different proteins, veggies, or cheeses.
