Ingredients
  

Beef and Sauce
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced Make sure to slice against the grain for tenderness.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch Adjust for thicker sauce if desired.
  • 2 cups beef broth Can substitute with chicken or vegetable broth.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
Vegetables and Noodles
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Don't overcook; should be vibrant and slightly crisp.
  • 3 cups ramen noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For cooking the beef.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef, and add the broccoli florets.
  6. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 3-4 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions.
  8. Drain the noodles and add them to the pan, tossing to combine with the sauce and beef.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or sliced green onions. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
